GoFasting does not use a separate account system. Your app access, personal information, membership status, and data sync connect to the Google Play or Apple App Store account on your device.
Yes. When you tap Sync, GoFasting uploads your data to the cloud and connects it to your Google Play or Apple App Store account. You can also use Export & Import to create a local backup or move data between devices.
Yes. Go to Me > Settings > Export & Import, choose a time range, and export your data file.
The App Store or Google Play manages your subscription, depending on where you purchased your plan. Deleting GoFasting does not cancel your subscription. Cancel it through the platform where you subscribed.
Getting Started
Choose a fasting plan, then start the timer after your last meal or snack. GoFasting tracks your fasting window and shows your progress.
Many beginners start with a 16:8 plan: fast for 16 hours and eat within an 8-hour window. You can adjust your plan later based on your routine and comfort level.
Yes. You can change your fasting plan in the Plan section of the app.
Intermittent fasting may not be suitable for everyone. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, under medical treatment, underweight, or have a history of eating disorders, consult a healthcare professional before starting.
Fasting & App Features
The fasting timer helps you start, track, and end each fast. You can follow your fasting progress from the main fasting screen.
Yes. On the fasting homepage, find the fasting tracker, tap the edit icon next to the start time, adjust the time, and save your changes.
Yes. Open your fasting history, select the record you want to update, adjust the start or end time, and save it.
Yes. GoFasting supports water tracking, weight records, step tracking, and calorie logging to help you follow your progress.
GoFasting tracks steps through your phone’s activity permissions and supported health integrations. For the best experience, enable activity or fitness permissions.
Yes. GoFasting connects with Apple Health on iOS and Google Fit on Android to sync supported health data, such as steps and weight. Enable the required permissions on your device.
AI calorie tracking helps Pro users estimate meal calories and nutrition details from food logs. It reduces manual entry and helps you keep food tracking consistent.
Widgets & Reminders
Yes. GoFasting Pro supports widgets for steps, fasting, water, and weight, so you can check key health and fasting data from your home screen. Widget availability depends on your device, operating system, and app version.
GoFasting Pro currently supports step, fasting, water, and weight widgets. Choose the widget that matches the data you want to check.
To add a widget: 1. Hold an empty area on your screen. 2. Tap the “+” button in the top corner. 3. Find GoFasting. 4. Choose a widget and add it to your screen.
First, confirm that you have GoFasting Pro. Then check that the app is updated, your device supports widgets, and your home screen has enough space.
Yes. You can set reminders to help you start and end your fasting window on time.
Check that notifications are enabled for GoFasting in your phone settings. Battery saver, focus mode, and do-not-disturb settings can block reminders.
Account, Sync & Data
GoFasting does not use a separate account system. Your GoFasting access connects to the Google Play or Apple App Store account on your device.
When you tap Sync, GoFasting uploads your app data to the cloud and connects it to your Google Play or Apple App Store account. If you reinstall the app or switch devices, use the same store account and tap Sync again to restore your cloud data.
Use the same Google Play or Apple App Store account on your new device. Open GoFasting, go to Sync, and tap Sync to restore your cloud data.
Export & Import lets you create a local backup file and move your fasting history between devices. Use it when switching phones or manually backing up your data.
Go to Me > Settings > Export & Import. Export your data from the device with the correct history, transfer the file to your new device, then import it in GoFasting.
Yes, if you synced or exported your data before. If you never synced or exported your data, it may only exist on your previous device.
Uninstalling GoFasting removes local data from your device. If you previously tapped Sync, you can restore your cloud data later by using the same Google Play or Apple App Store account and syncing again.
Subscription & Billing
Yes. GoFasting has a free version with core fasting and health tracking tools. Pro is optional and unlocks advanced features.
Pro includes AI calorie tracking, 40+ fasting plans, 100+ exclusive recipes, 20+ meal plans, 30+ widgets, and an ad-free experience.
Open the App Store, tap your profile icon, go to Subscriptions, select GoFasting, and tap Cancel Subscription.
Open Google Play, tap your profile icon, go to Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions, select GoFasting, and cancel your subscription.
No. Deleting GoFasting only removes the app from your device. It does not cancel your subscription. Cancel through the App Store or Google Play.
Sign in with the same App Store or Google Play account used for the purchase. Then open the GoFasting purchase page and tap Restore Purchase.
Check that you are using the same App Store or Google Play account used for the purchase. Then tap Restore Purchase in GoFasting. If Pro still does not activate, contact support with your payment email or order number.
The App Store or Google Play handles refunds, depending on where you purchased your subscription. Request a refund through the official platform process.
Apple and Google manage subscriptions separately, so Pro access cannot transfer directly between iOS and Android. If you are switching platforms, contact support and we’ll help you review your options.
Troubleshooting
Update GoFasting to the latest version, check your internet connection, close and reopen the app, and enable the required permissions.
Check your network connection, use the same Google Play or Apple App Store account, grant the required permissions, and sync again. You can also use Export & Import as a manual backup and transfer method.
Check that GoFasting has permission to access activity or fitness data. On Android, battery settings can affect step tracking, so allow GoFasting to run in the background.
Check that you are using the same App Store or Google Play account used for the purchase. Then tap Restore Purchase. If the issue continues, contact support with your payment email or order number.
